JAMMU, Jan 11: Jammu and Kashmir Indian Style Wrestling Association, in a meeting held here today, condoled the demise of veteran wrestler of the state, Mohammad Billa.
Brother of another prominent wrestler, Allah Mai, Billa served with Jammu and Kashmir Police. He represented the state in the nationals and won silver medal.
The meeting that took place under the chairmanship of Association president, Shiv Kumar Sharma remembered the great wrestler and his contributions towards the game.
Members, attending to the meeting, also observed a two-minute silence to pay respect to the departed soul and also to pray to the Almighty for eternal peace to the soul.
Among those who were present in the meeting were Prem Choudhary, Inderjeet Khajuria, Prithvi Raj Sharma, Bansi Lal Tidyal, Mulk Raj Sharma, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Surinder Kumar, Rehmat Ali and Prem Kumar. |
