| One held with 1 Kilogram of Poppy Straw at Samba | | |

SAMBA, Mar 6: On the direction of SSP Samba Anil Magotra against Drug menace and bovine smuggling, Police arrested one person along with one kilogram of poppy straw at Rajpura in district samba here today.
According to the police sources, Police party of Police post Rajpura headed by Si Surinder Nagra along with District special branch laid a Nakka on Ghagwal Rajpura road near Raghuchack. During Nakka checking police party intercepted one Rakesh Kumar Son of Baldev Raj resident of Rajpura on suspicious ground during his frisking police recovered one kilogram of Poppy straw from his possession and the accused person arrested on the spot along with contraband items.
Thw whole operation conducts under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Anil Magotra and close supervision of DSP Headquarter Samba Deepak Digra.
In this regard a case FIR No. 45/2018 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started. |
