Sunderbani witnesses peaceful protest rally in support of district status

Jammu, Mar 6: The residents of Tehsil Sunderbani in sub division Nowshera today took out a peaceful rally on 18th day to protest in support of district status.
The protest rally was held under the supervision of Ex MLC and Congress leader-Ravinder Sharma in which over 7000 people participated.
While addressing the gathering during the rally, Sharma said that this is the high time for the common people to get united.
"This is the time, the common people has to show unity for the sake of their rights.
They should not get hoodwinked by politicians, who are trying to politicise the issue for sake of earning votes," said Sharma, adding that this agitation is proof that common people is not happy with the present dispensation.
Talking to Early Times on the sideline of the protest rally, Ravinder Sharma said that the people of this area have to remain alert as some political parties are trying to politicise the issue to earn vote bank.
Without naming anyone, Congress leader said that BJP leaders are issuing baseless and irrelevant statements only to divert common people from the right track. "People should be conscious about it," he said and added that today 7000 people attended this rally and if government did not mend its ways this number could swell to 25000.
Targeting BJP leadership, Sharma said that if they cannot grant separate status to SUnderbani, why government put ADC in Kotranka.
