| Summer Zone Apple variety introduced in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 6: A new species of apple variety Hariman-99 Summer Zone Apple that stands atmospheric temperature upto 46? C has been introduced in Jammu starting from Lakhanpur, Kathua to Reasi & Billawar to Sunderbani. Whole Jammu province hot areas are in flowering state these days that starts in middle of Feb. pink flowers & fruit ripens in the month of June & starts giving fruits just one year after plantation. Colour fragrance, juice & contents are like high Altitude apple and stands high temperature in addition. Weight of apple Is 178 - 200 grms & each plant gives about 10 - 12 Kg fruit in first crop.
You can see flowering apple anywhere in your neighborhood these days along with tiny fruits. The first orchid was started & inaugurated by Sadguru Madhu Paramhans Ji in his Ashram at Ranjadi Distt. Samba by planting 500 plants followed by Akhnoor, Satwari Jammu & all colonies of Jammu, central University, Jammu University and SMVD University & SKUAST Jammu, forest dept. in addition to farmers of all other districts. Sadguru Madhu Paramhans Ji took the initiative along with his disciples & Associated with Dr K C Sharma, G N Naik IAS (Retd. Div. Com.), Shastri by establishing a nursery at village Ranjan near Kotbhalwal from where plants are being supplied even today. Plants have been supplied from this nursery to all over the country 29 states & 7 union territories where fruits have already come in ten states. This step is certainly historical & will certainly change economy of Jammu in addition to a new revolution in India & other hot areas of the world with this Hariman-99 Summer Zone Apple. |
