They threaten to intensify the agitation if government failed to amend its decision.
Addressing the protestors including women and elderly lot, Chairman Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal came down heavily on all those officials at helm of affairs who gave NoCs for dumping of garbage in such a highly populated area.
Addressing the gathering KD Singh Chairman Kandi Belt Movement strongly condemned the illegal move of the Jammu Municipal Corporation to dump garbage in Kot-Bhalwal, a highly populated area of Jammu district in violation of Solid Waste Management Rules. He said that people of Kot-Bhalwal and adjoining villages have been protesting for last about a month against the illegal dumping of garbage by JMC but administration has paid no heed. Ex-Sarpanchs, Raj Dev Singh, Sukhdev Singh and advocate Ram Mohammad in their speeches stated that it was very unfortunate that from February 2018, JMC in violation of Solid Waste Management Rules and State Pollution Control Board rules has again started dumping about 200-250 trucks of solid waste in Bhalwal area.
