Plus 2 Lecturers Forum demands review of date sheet of HSP-1
3/6/2018 10:18:06 PM
Early Times Report
Udhampur, Mar 6: A meeting of the District Udhampur unit of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum was held at Udhampur with Ashok Sharma, the District President of the Forum.
The meeting was convened to discuss the date sheet of HSP-1, summer zone, 2017-18 issued by the JKBOSE. In the meeting a large number of members of the Plus 2 Cadre expressed their concern over the Date sheet for HSP-1 Summer Zone, 2017-18 issued by issued by the JKBOSE.
They said that the T2 session of class HSP-1 started on 16th January, 2018 and the BOSE has started the exams from April 2, 2018. Thus, a period of only about two and a half months has been provided to the teachers to teach the syllabus of T2 and deliver the prescribed lectures. Moreover, recently orders have been issued by various CEOs reportedly on the directions of Minister for Education that on the days of the Board Exams of 10th and 12th, the schools where the centers for these exams have been constituted, will remain closed for the students and the staff.
As a result the teaching learning activities in such schools have been severely affected as the working days of such schools have been further reduced drastically. Thus, the students have been left with very little time to prepare for their 2nd Terminal Test and in case their syllabus is not properly covered, they are likely to suffer in the long run as a significant no of questions in the screening test for various Competitive Exams for professional courses after 12th pertain to the syllabus of the 11th class.
The members requested the Secretary JKBOSE to review the said date sheet and issue a revised date-sheet starting T2 exams from around 20th of April, 2018 and give a break of at least one day before each paper in the date sheet so that students can prepare for their T2 exams quite well.
