EJAC (K) holds meeting, discusses problems of State Govt employees

JAMMU, Mar 25: To discuss the problems being faced by the state government employees, a meeting of Employees Joint Action Committee-K (EJAC-K ) held here today under the chairmanship of the state president EJAC (K) Mushtaq Ahmad Khan.
The meeting was attended by all working committee members of EJAC (K), Jammu province, including Balvinder Singh-provincial president, Dharminder Singh-provincial general secretary, Ravi Singh Bhau, Amrik Singh Sasan, Ravinder Singh, Narinder Singh and others.
The issue of delay in issuance of the SRO concerning implementation of 7th Pay Commission report in favour of the state government employees was discussed in detail and all the members unanimously agreed that the government may be asked to issue SRO to this effect immediately ensuring that all existing anomalies are removed and not carried forward in the 7th Pay Commission implementation.
During the meeting attention of EJAC (K) working committee was drawn towards ongoing strike of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers, which has entered 52nd day. A unanimous resolution in this connection was moved by Dharminder Singh.
The EJAC (K) State President further cautioned the government that Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union is constituent Unit of EJAC(K). They are not alone; we support and stand by them unconditionally. We call upon the government to consider their demands seriously failing which EJAC(K) shall not remain a mute spectator any more but jump in this matter for redressal of their long pending genuine demands and consequences their of shall be government's responsibility.
