| BJP MLA caught napping while MoS in PMO discussed development | | |  Ashwani Sharma

Udhampur, Mar 25: The seriousness of public representatives in developmental works can be better judged from the incident where an MLA was caught sleeping during a meeting chaired by Union Minister of State (MoS) here yesterday.
MLA Ramnagar, R.S Pathania was found taking a nap when MoS Prime Minister's Office (PMO), was reviewing the progress of developmental works and major projects in Udhampur.
Apart from the MLA Ramnagar officers from district administration and other departments were also present in the meeting.
While the MLA was supposed to present his views on developmental works and problems of the area before the Union MoS, he was caught sleeping and hence his participation in the meeting almost remained nil.
When contacted J&K National Panthers Party Chairman, Harsh Dev Singh said that the MLA Pathania also remained sleeping in the Legislative
Assembly during the budget session and failed to raise issues of his constituency.
Sohan Lal local residential of ramnager said that if such is the state of affairs with a young MLA even at the early stages of his political career what is expected of him in future.
Another local said that while the Prime Minister Narendra Modi works tirelessly till very late night hours, the MLAs of his party displaying such poor activity publically is not a good thing. It is pertinent to mention here that R.S Pathania is first time MLA from BJP in BJP-PDP coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir. |
