Poonch, Mar 25: Several roads in Mendhar sub division are in dilapidated condition with the concerned department failing to do proper work on ground in spite of withdrawing bills, sources said here today.
Departments of Public Works and PMGSY have been allegedly blamed for the dilapidated condition in several areas including Kalaban, Chhungal, Chrone Gali Kalaban and Shredra. For the last few years all the roads got broken due to lack of black topping and developed ditches and holes causing great problems to commuters and as well as vehicles of the area.
People alleged that the concerned departments do only paper work to withdraw the money against fake bills. They said that Kalaban area is a remotest area of Mendhar Sub division which is at a long distance taking dawn to dusks time to reach over there.
"We urge the concerned authorities to get black topping of these dilapidated roads done at the earliest," said Nisar Ahmed Cheche, a youth adding the locals face lots of difficulties while moving on these roads. |
