| Hunger Strike of Contractual Lecturers enters 405th day, Govt unmoved | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 23: The hunger strike by contractual lecturers (10+2) enters 405 today which is a very longer period and the Contractual Lecturers has been facing so many hardships. The agitating teachers are demanding their regularization as per the Civil services Special Provision act 2010 a Legislature passed for the Regularization of all the ad-hoc/ Contractual/Consolidated employees.
Today contractual lecturers harshly protested raising slogans like Laayen Gey Layen Gaye Hum Kranti Layen Gaye, Hamara Shoshan Karna Bandh Karo Bandh Karo, Contractual Lecturers Ko Regularise Karo Regularise Karo. They protested against the govt. for not conceding their demands as the Contractual Lecturers are on hunger strike for such a longer period and the Govt is paying no heed towards their demands. Arun Bakhshi President of the Association also said that now the Govt portfolio of Finance department is also kept with the Education Minister Altaf Bukhari and it is not very difficult for the Minister to get this job done.
Bakshi also said that on the eve of this pious day of Ramanavami after the completion of The Navratri Festival people are celebrating with pomp and show but we people are here on hunger strike for last 405 days which is very shameful act on the part of the govt. The entire minister's are participating in this festival very happily but nobody turned their eyes towards the problems of suffering lectures.
It is our humble request to CM, Dy. CM, Education Minister, MoS for Education that kindly personally intervene in our case and Regularise our services as per Civil Services Special Provision act 2010 or otherwise we appeal the state govt. to give us poison to we people and finished this matter because we are suffering a lot. |
