Jammu, Mar 25: Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat, Jammu organised "SAMARPAN" (General Body Meeting and Parivar Milan) at Gurjar Charitable Trust, Jammu on Sunday.
On the occasion tributes paid to the leaders of masses and social reformers Sher-e-Duggar Late Lala Hans Raj Ji Mahajan and Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan who was the First Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and they sacrificed their lives not only for their own community but for the upliftment of down trodden people too.
A lamp of integrity, unity and peace was lit amidst the recitation of Gayatri Mantra in the inaugural session by the Chief Guest Speaker Kavinder Gupta and Guests of Honour Rajesh Gupta MLA East, Naresh Gupta MLC, Ved Mahajan Ex. MLC, Rakesh Gupta; President Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Romesh Chander Gupta; President Central Mahajan Sabha and Ashok Jandial; President Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat, Jammu.
Ashok Jandial President Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat, highlighted the various activities of the Sabha during his tenure in his presidential address. A telephone directory with the details of each and every Mahajan family residing in Channi Himmat and adjoining areas was published and distributed free of cost, proved to be a mile stone and brought the community together. Identity Cards have been issued to the members and the process is on. Around 600 Mahajan families are residing in and around the Channi Himmat area and the Sabha has reached to every door to spread message of unity among each other and collected the donations also.
For the first time, women too have been incorporated in the Working Committee of Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat to highlight the problems of the helpless as well as the needy. Mahajan Marriage Bureau, one of the wings of the Sabha is doing exceptionally good and many people are benefited of this service. Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat organised free medical camps for the general public and celebrated National Festivals, Republic Day, Independence Day etc. with full enthusiasm and gave message of love, affection and brotherhood. Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat is keeping the maxim-'Service to Humanity is Service to God' high.
