Early Times Report
Udhampur, Apr 12: Union MoS Dr. Jatindra Singh ducked the question of referring the infamous Rassana rape and murder case to CBI, which is being demanded by the Hindu Ekta Manch. Dr Singh was talking to the reporters on the sidelines of one day fast of BJP MPs across the country today . It is worthwhile to mention here that J&K government got the Rassana case investigated through Crime Branch despite demands of CBI probe for fair investigations.
It is pertinent to mention here that BJP MPs were on fast from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday in protest against Congress for disrupting Parliament business.
"We are on fast today and in order to maintain the sanctity of the fast we should restrict our comments to fast only," Dr. Singh told reporters.
He further said that the Congress wasted important days of Parliament business which is highly condemnable.
Dr Singh also said that behavior of the Congress was against the decorum of Parliament and it was against the national interest as well. However, the locals complained that during the fasting and protest people faced a lot of problems due to traffic jam around the Gole Market which was the venue of protest.
Rajya Sabha member Shamsher Singh Manhas was also present in the fasting protest.
