| 150 vehicles stranded on Mughal Road due to snowfall | | | Early Times Report
Mendhar, Apr 12: Around 150 vehicles got stranded due to snowfall at Mughal Road Near Peer Ki Gali.
As per reports, last night at about 12Pm snowfall started which was in light motion suddenly turned in heavy snowfall in which 150 vehicles mostly light vehicles carrying mostly women's and children's were travelling got trapped very badly at Mughal Road Near Peer Ki Gali. As soon as passengers managed to contact with Poonch police SSP Poonch Rajev Pandey (IPS) activated police rescue team, on this SDPO Surankote Rayaz ahmed and SHO Surankote Insp Anzir Mir incharge police post Bharamgalla SI Sukbir Singh along with army and police team managed somehow to reach to the trapped passengers and starts the rescuing passengers in between SSP Poonch also reached on spot to supervise rescue operation. All trapped passengers got rescued safely at about 1 am. |
