NSF to launch signature campaign for CBI probe in Rassana murder case
4/24/2018 11:04:43 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 24: To press the demand for CBI probe in the death of minor girl in Rassana village in Kathua, the National Secular Forum (NSF) today declared to launch a signature campaign across the Jammu division.
Addressing a press conference, NSF state chief Dr. Vikas Sharma said that government was deliberately ignoring the concern of Jammu people with regard to fishy probe conducted by the Crime Branch in Rassana murder case.
"If people of Jammu province are not satisfied and have doubt then government should have gone for CBI probe. But here the story is different as government is trying to suppress the voice of Jammu," he said.
Dr. Sharma questioned silence of BJP ministers over the entire episode adding, "Those who spoke were asked to resign which clearly indicates that BJP succumbed before its Kashmir masters. If this is the state of affairs, then people of Jammu don't need them. We will ourselves fight for this cause."
He said that NSF would launch a signature campaign from April 25, 2018 across the division to ascertain the public view over this incident. "Now people will tell what they want. And government must take cognizance of that. Madam Mehbooba Mufti is not just the Chief Minister of Kashmir and majority community, but of entire Jammu and Kashmir. And she should not hesitate in ordering CBI probe to unravel the mystery behind the mystery," he added.
Among those who were present in the press-conference included Papinder Singh, Rishikesh Rana, and Pushpinder Singh.
