PDP takes credit for 7th pay commission
BJP leaders left with eggs on their faces

Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 24: The conflict between the ruling partners in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP and the PDP, seems to be mounting by the day. On Tuesday, two senior PDP ministers addressed a press conference to announce the implementation of the 7th pay commission, while the BJP people were conspicuous by their absence.
During a cabinet meeting which was convened on Tuesday amid much fanfare, all the BJP ministers were present. However, as the government announced the much awaited 7th pay commission recommendations in the state, two PDP ministers addressed the press conference soon after the cabinet meet and announced the details.
During the press conference, the PDP itself took all the credit for the 7th pay commission implementation in the state while the BJP got outrightly undermined.
Furthermore, the PDP leaders all across the state were seen thumping their chests and doing everything to claim credit for such an announcement that is going to benefit 500,000 government state employees.
"The announcement of implementing 7th pay commission in the state is worth to hail. It has once again proven beyond doubt that this government unlike the previous regimes is aware of the woes of people and addressing them at earliest considers as priority. It shows that the Chief Minister cares for the people of the state more than anything else and will always remain in the forefront for the deliverance of justice and fair play," was how one PDP leader shared the news on his Facebook wall.
"Kudos and Congratulations to CM Mehbooba Mufti and Finance Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari. Without chaos and confrontation, the state employees have got their due rights," wrote another PDP leader.
This is not the first time that the BJP remained in oblivion while the PDP took credit of the implementation of government schemes.
Back to back, there were two statements issued by the PDP's media cell in Kashmir since October 9 last year. In both the statements, the PDP leadership took credit of the construction of the mini-secretariat and enhancement of wages daily wagers along with the promise of regularising them soon.
On the contrary, the BJP which the part of the coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir didn't utter a word and hence giving impression that it was really the PDP that has taken such measures.
On October 9, 2017 the PDP spokesman hailed Mehbooba Mufti in a detailed statement over the decision of creating a mini-secretariat at Batamaloo Srinagar and termed such a measure as 'historic' for Srinagar's overall growth and prosperity.
The spokesman left no stone unturned in eulogising the effort of the PDP in providing what he termed the 'sigh if relief' to the people of the state. The spokesman stated that it is the hard work of CM Mehbooba Mufti that has begun yielding results in the state and that very soon the new era of peace, prosperity and tranquillity along with development shall be witnessed in the state.
The statement though was carried by almost all news organisations in Kashmir Valley, it hinted at one thing. And that is about the BJP's stoic silence over not asking for the equal appreciation as the party too is the part of the present government in Jammu and Kashmir.
On October 11, 2017 the PDP spokesman once again shot a detailed statement via party's media cell. In the handout, the spokesman again hailed the CM and the PDP leadership in enhancing wages of the daily rated employees in the state, stating further that the chief minister has proved herself as leader of unrepresented class in Jammu and Kashmir. "One should be optimistic about a prosperous future of the state under the able command of CM Mehbooba Mufti. She has proved herself as the leader of the unrepresented class of Jammu and Kashmir," spokesman of the PDP had stated.
