JAMMU, Apr 24: Delhi Deaf Cricket (DDC) XI trounced J&K Deaf Cricket team by 28 runs and lifted the 7th North Zone Cricket tournament for the Deaf at Science College Cricket Ground, here today.
Jung Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member JKCA was the Chief Guest in the valedictory function. The Chief Guest distributed the trophies among the winners and runners-up teams in presence of Shiv Kumar Sharma Joint Secretary J&K Sports Council, Rajesh Gill Former Ranji Player & Member Sports Council Jammu, Arjun Choudhary MD KC Sports Club, Pranav Gupta DySP and Surinder Megan President Delhi Deaf Cricket Association. Earlier, in the summit clash, Delhi Deaf Cricket team won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 185 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, J&K Deaf Cricket team tried hard but could not chase the target and managed to score 157 runs by losing all wickets in 19.3 overs thus lost the match by 28 runs. |
