Ajay clinches Maitra Kesari Title 2018

RAMBAN, Apr 30: Ajay Sharma from Udhampur clinched the Annual Maitra Kesari Dangal-2018 by beating Gopal Sharma from Mawal in the main bout played at Ramlela Ground Maitra, here today.
The Maha Dangal (wrestling matches) was organized by Dangal committee Maitra.
MLA Ramban, Neelam Kumar Langeh was the chief guest on the occasion
The winner of the Main bout was awarded a prize of Rs.10,000 and Patta while runner up was given cash prize of Rs. 7000. The 2nd and 3rd bout winners were given Rs 5000 each while runner up of the same bouts got Rs 4000 each. Over 55 bouts were held during the wrestling event with the participation of a large number of renowned wrestlers from across the state. The wrestlers repeatedly chaired from across the jam packed Dangal ground were Salman, Nazir Shota Binia and Zakir.
MLA, lauded the efforts of President Maitra Dangal Committee for organizing the event every year. He said that such events help to promote communal harmony, brotherhood and national integration among the youth which is prime need in the present scenario.
President of Dangal Committee, Gopal Krishan Raina, Dy. SP, Tosif Ahmad, Naib Tehsildar, Abdul Jabar, President Sanatan Dhram Sabha, Dr. Mohan Lal Sharma, President Beopar Mandal, Bushan Lal Ranjay Kumar, Cashier Krishan Lal, Modh Janu, Mohammad Mushtaq and Surinder Jamwal rendered technical assistance in the event.
Committee President Gopal Krishan informed that the Prize of one lakh Rupees has been distributed among the wrestlers during the Dangal.
Earlier, veteran wrestlers were also felicitated by the organizers.
