One more arrested for sensitive FB post

Rajouri, May 1: Rajouri police arrested a youth belonging to Kalakot tehsil for posting a sensitive post on Facebook on Tuesday. The post reportedly had drawn sharp criticism from the minority community.
It was the second arrest by the Rajouri police for posting sensitive posts on Facebook pages within a week time. Earlier on April 24, Rajouri police had arrested Sanjay Kumar resident of village Siot presently running a shop in Rajouri town for posting sensitive matter that had led to sharp criticism from the majority community.
On Tuesday Shokat Ali s/o Ghulam Hussain r/o Baroota Dayal in Kalakot tehasil shared a very sensitive post on his Facebook page.
Taking cognizance of the post , Rajouri police on the direction from SSP, lodged a case against the youth in Rajouri police station under section 153-A RPC and also arrested him from his village.
"The said person has shared a very sensitive post on his Facebook page on Tuesday that had hurt the sentiments a particular community" said SSP.
The SSP appealed to the people of the district, using social media networks, not to use social media for spreading hatred. He warned that such attempt shall be dealt with strictly. Police also appealed to the parents and guardians to counsel their wards to use social media networks in a positive way and not to make it a cause of worry in society.
"Many local Facebook pages as well as WhatsApp groups are also under scanner where messages of hatred are being uploaded and the erring can face action soon" said a senior police officer.
