Poonch, May 1: It is always dark at the foot of the light house, an old saying which proved true today when Superintendent of Police (traffic) Poonch who along with DySP Range Poonch Rajouri and others was interacting with drivers and cleaners at Mendhar on the side lines of Road Safety week beginning from Apr 23, while a cop from his own squad was covering the whole episode by hanging on the stairs of a vehicle giving a dent to the sermons being delivered by the SP.
The SP traffic threw light on the violation of traffic rules by the drivers including over loading, plying vehicle without relevant documents wearing of crash helmet for two wheeler drivers use of front seat belt, hanging of passenger on outer stair of the matadors etc. He apprised them about its demerits but the attraction of the spot was a policeman of his own squad who was covering the byte of SP in his camera by hanging on the back stairs of a vehicle.
People have resented the over loading menace in Mendhar, Mandi, Surankote and Poonch besides other areas of the district and appealed the DDC Poonch to take a strict action against the violaters of traffic rules as traffic police department has chirag Talay Andhera. |
