| Extension lecture on Public Private Partnership organized | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 14: Department of Applied Sciences organized an extension lecture on Public Private Partnership for B.E. second semester students. Dr. Tanu Kathuria, who is an Economic Officer at NITI Aayog, was the eminent resource person for the lecture. The guest speaker was welcomed with a bouquet.
The lecture commenced with a welcome speech by Er. Wani Gupta, Lecturer in Management, Department of Applied Sciences, YCET. The session started with the basics of economics and she explained the law of demand and supply by illustrating examples.
The focus of the session was on the origination of Public Private Partnership and how this has given a boost to our economy. She deliberated at length on the importance of investment in infrastructure to help the economies to grow, governments are increasingly turning to the private sector as an alternative additional source of funding to meet the funding gap. The complete lecture kept students engrossed. Dr. Arvind Dewangan, Director YCET presented a memento to the guest speaker and appreciated the Department for organizing the lecture.
He stated that these lectures play a very vital role in overall growth of the students. The Students had a very healthy interaction with the speaker. The lecture concluded with vote of thanks professed by Sonica Rajput, Lecturer in Physics. |
