POJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum convenes Conference

Jammu, May 14: All J&K POJK 1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Form convene, one day conference on Sunday at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu under the Chairpersonship of Advocate S. Amrik Singh President of the Forum The meeting was participated by all the delegates of Jammu Region.
Addressing the conference, he demanded a comprehensive package of Rs. 30.00 Lakh to be given to the DPs of POJK 1947 in one instalment as recommended by the State Government earlier to the Government of India. The Forum also resented in delaying of disbursement of PM's package of Rs. 5.50 lakh and appeal to the Ministry of Home Affairs GOI to get its disbursement on speedy delivery because it is already too delayed by the authorities of State Government. Grant of minority status to the Sikh inspite of Sikhs constitute 2% of total population of J&K, but they have been not granted any minority status till date since 1947, which is a long pending genuine demand. Implementation of Anand Marriage Act. There is a strong desire of Sikh community that Anand Marriage Act to be implemented in J&K at the earliest. As you are aware well that Sikhs have suffered very badly in the valley at the time of partition and due to the internal disturbances of militancy at Kashmir Valley and the Kashmiri based Sikhs must be deal at par with that of other Kashmir Pandits in all respects.
Grant of reservation to the Sikh Youth of J&K in jobs professional colleges admission and Employment package by J&K Government and the centre Government at Par with other communities which are in vogue.
