| Locals express anguish over dilapidated condition of Ekta Vihar lane, drain | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 1: Members and local residents of Ekta VIhar Welfare Society Kunjwani called upon for discussing the issues related to broken and damaged conditions of lane and drain of the society especially Lane No 3 and 4 of Ekta Vihar Kunjwani, Ward no 56.
The local residents lodged heavily protest towards step motherly behaviour to the local inhabitants of the area, they said the lanes and drains of these lanes are in pathetic, unhygenical, radical manner, stage of these lane and drains which are broken which lead to flow of drain water to lanes and even to houses of local residents.
They stated that during every monsoon these damaged lanes and drains lead to several diseases to the residents like malaria, dengue etc. The people are also not able to walk on lanes or come out of houses because of water lodging at each and every corner of area. They also stated they have contacted the Local MLA, District President BJP, and local government authorities like JMC many times but were always returned with false promises which were never fulfilled.
They requested Governor of state to look into the matter at earliest and get the repairing of lanes keeping in view of upcoming monsoon season. |
