Staff, students express ignorance over activities of Madarsa head

kishtwar, July 1: After the name of Madarsa head Nisar Ahmed Ganie surfaced in the high profile Hizb terror module which was busted by the Kishtwar Police, Early Times today visited the Madarsa to take stock of the situation on ground.
The Madarsa which is running from a private building in link road area of Kishtwar wears a pathetic look where the majority of the students hail from the native village of Molvi Nisar Ahmed Ganie, head of the Madarsa.
The Madarsa is being run from around three 12X12 rooms with one room occupied by the Nisar himself while the two other rooms cater around 45 students.
Speaking to ET, the teachers in the Madarsa informed that they were unaware about the activities of the Madarsa head and added that yesterday after noon some police persons came to Madarsa and told Molvi Nisar to accompany them to police station. They said that after waiting for some time when he didn't return, they called on his mobile number which was found to be switched off.
They said that after which one of them approach the police station Kishtwar and after police did not release him they returned to Madarsa at around 11 PM. They said that the Madarsa was being run from this building since its establishment.
They said that each student is being charged Rs. 500 as yearly fee while rest of the arrangements in terms of food is being arranged by the Madarsa head.
He said that the Madarsa had purchased a piece of land in nearby vicinity where presently the mosque is being constructed and added that once the mosque is completed, they will shift in the same. They said that after completion of mosque they had the plan to start construction of the Madarsa, however both expressed ignorance about the source of money used in running the Madarsa, purchase of land and construction.
