Poonch, July 1: An influential technical assistant has been ruling the roost in the office of Block Development Officer Mankote under the nose of his superiors, source said here today. Chiragdin technical assistant who was holding several panchayats earlier which was against the guidelines of MGNREGA in block Mankote and Mendhar was relieved of the charge of additional panchayats after Early Times carried a report against him. He was posted to Block Mankote on the directions of ACD and given charges of four Panchayats including Mankote , Baraj, Ghani Lower and Balnoi. But in March 2018 the influential and politically sound, Chiragdin managed to get additional charge of Panchayats in block Mendhar too which was totally against the norms of MNREGA because a technical assistant cant hold the charge of other block nor can be transferred in such case. Having used his approach and other unfair means he managed to get additional charge of panchayats in Mendhar block as well which include Churanga Prown, Churanga Choudrian Salwa lower and upper, Gursai and Tanvi. While as technical assistant of Mendhar block is having only two panchayats, sources added.
Locals alleged that Chiragdin has been making fortunes at the behest to BDO Mankote and looting the gullible public with both the hands, they in an appeal urged the authorities to take cognizance of the matter and initiate an inquiry as how a technical assistant was able to get reallotted additional panchayats of other block despite the order of ADC to withdraw them. |
