Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 1: Former Deputy Chief Minister J&K and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta accused the major political parties like congress for trying to create a communal andregional divide across the state through their misleading and thought provoking statements on daily basis.
He was speaking on the sidelines of a plantation drive organized by the Rotary Club Jammu and attended by the prominent citizens and Rotarians of the area.
Terming this plantation as a noble cause, he said that we should all take pledge to plant trees not only for our self but to prevent our children from cursing us in future.
The Former Dy CM stated that some of these politicians are holding or have held some highest and important constitutional positions, are now spitting venom and trying to create a wedge between regions and people through their cheap politics.
Quoting the recent statements issued by the leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and his senior party colleagues as demoralizing for the security forces, Gupta said, the only advice, I can give them is to talk more sensibly and don't barter national interest or security for mere political gains.
Underlining the recent statement of the Nikki Haley, "the American Ambassador to the UN asserting the Washington and New Delhi for becoming global leaders in the fight against terrorism". He said that such statements speak volumes in itself and shows how the nation has progressed in the last 4 years and gained the respect globally under the dynamic leadership of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Later, he distributed cheques among the beneficiaries of Housing for All (HFA) scheme from the Gandhi Nagar constituency and thanked the central government for allocating and sanctioning funds for the state of J&K.
He said that the BJP led central government is committed to provide all possible help for the development of J&K and that can be gauged from the fact that central schemes are being continuously monitored for their timely implementation.
He added, even the Prime Minister Holds regular video conferencing with the MP's, Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretaries and other HOD's on regular basis.
Earlier today, he also flagged off 14th Annual Chitto Mata/ Singhasan Mata, Jyot yatra from Rani Talab Digiana to the holy abode of Goddess in Gulabgarh of Kishtwar District.
