Jammu, July 1 : Royal cricket club Bani won first edition of Marhoom Mudassar Hussain Malik Memorial Cricket Tournament today at sarthal (Bani).
Bani won the toss and batted first scored a sufficient total of 180 runs in 20 overs.
Rony scored 52 runs by hitting 4 sixes and 2 fours, sanam scored 39 and Muzafar Malik 25 runs for RCC Bani, Adil Dar and Adil Wani shared 2 wickets each and Danish took 1 for Bhaderwah Warriors.
Chasing down total of 180 runs Bhaderwah Warriors couldn't manage to get to the mark and collapsed on 168 for 10. Danish scored 38 runs Raju scored 27 runs Mudassar scored 20 for their team.
Bowling RCC Bani Muzamil and Sheetal shared 2 wickets each and Sohail Wani Arvind, Nihal and Muzafer took 1 wicket each for their team thus RCC Bani won the match by 12 runs.
Thakur Abijeet Singh, Spokesperson JK PDP was Chief Guest, Prem Sagar Aziz, Ex MLA Bani, Ajeet Singh (KAS) SDM Bani were Guests of Honour.
Rony (RCC Bani) was declared as Man of the Match, Muzamil (Rcc Bani) as Man of the Series, Mudassar ( Bhd) as Best Batsman, Muzafar Malik (RCC) as Best Bowler, Rayaz Butt (Bhd) as Best wicket keeper, Mohd Atiq (Rcc) as Best fielder, Nihal (Rcc) as Best Catch, Sohail Wani (RCC) as sports Man.
Prem Sagar Aziz gave cash prize of Rs 20000 and trophy to Runners up and Rs 30000 cash and trophy to winners were given Thakur Abijeet Singh.
