| Central GST Commissionerate Jammu celebrates GST Day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 1: The Central GST Commissionerate Jammu marked the first anniversary of GST as "GST Day" by organising a gala event at GST Bhawan, Bahu Plaza Jammu wherein large number of senior officers of the department and representatives of the trade were present.
The event began with the welcome address by Assistant Commissioner Abhiroop Aryan, followed by felicitations of representatives of Industry and retired officers by Deputy Commissioner Iftikhar Ahmed Chowdhary.
Speaking on the occasion, Gyan Sarvar, Commissioner of Central GST who was the Chief Guest on the occasion congratulated the officers and trade on successful completion of one year since the roll out of GST. He exhorted the officers to work with renewed vigour and enthusiasm and also assured the industry of a similar cooperative and supportive administration in future also. The Commissioner also recognised the efforts of officers by awarding them Certificates of Appreciation. The sumptuous event was made more interactive by the industry representative's viz. Lalit Mahajan, Satish Koul, Ratan Dogra, Deepak Dhawan coming forward with their feedback of one year of GST implementation in the state. They also thanked the administration for the handholding support during GST rollout and appreciated the effort of the officers of the Central GST department during its implementation. Later the members of Industry were presented mementos for their support and co-operation by Additional Commissioner CL Dogra
Prakash Choudhary Assistant Commissioner presented vote of thanks. The celebrations ended with ceremonial cake cutting to celebrate and highlight the importance of this historic reform. |
