State players bring glory for country in 7th PARS cup at Iran | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 1: Ace Player Rajinder Singh and Pradeep Kumar brought glory for the Country and for the state at the 7th PARS cup from June 22nd to 27th 2018 at Gorgan (Iran). Rajinder Singh (World Bronze Medalist) secured Bronze medal in the below 90kg where as Pradeep lost to World Champion of the Iran in the final bout and secured Silver medal in below 70kg. Rajinder Singh got Injury in the semi final bout and gave walk over to in the semi final due to Injury on right foot. The Indian Wushu team secured 3 Silver and 9 Bronze medals and remained overall 3rd in the Medal tally. Rajinder Singh is the Bronze Medalist in the 14th World Wushu championship at Russia, Silver Medalist in the 9th Asian Wushu championship at Taepie , Silver medalist in the Asia Cup in China and 3 Times Bronze Medalist in the PARS cup. Recently he was configured with State Award. Pradeep Kumar is in the National Wushu coaching camp for the Asian Games at SAI Bhopal since January 20th 2018. He has more the 5 Medals in the International Events and Silver medal in the 12th SAF Games and 35th National Games in Kerala. The President of the Wushu Association of India Bhupender Singh Bajwa congratulated the team Players and Coaches Headed by Kuldeep Handoo (Chief Coach) for the excellent performance in the PARS cup and wished best of luck for the Indian Wushu team for the 18th Asian Games at Jakarta. The Office bearers of Wushu Association of J&K S Owais, H K Lohia, Vijay Saraf, Ranjeet Kalra, Deepak Handa, Sunil Sharma and Sohit Sharma have congratulated J&K Wushu team for making the state proud. |
