JYF seeks HRD Ministry to take serious note of gross irregularity in CUJ
10/24/2018 10:06:20 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 24: While making startling revelations regarding the rampant corruption in Central University of Jammu (CUJ), the Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) today alleged that incumbent Vice Chancellor of Central University Jammu recommended name of ineligible person to Human Resources Development ministry, GOI for the post of Finance Officer giving damn to the guidelines of University Grants Commission.
Addressing a press conference, JYF state president Ajaz Khan said that on 7th Nov 2017 a notification was issued in which it was clearly mentioned that one person shall be considered eligible for filling up the form for the post of Finance Officer, whose age is 57 or below 57 but strangely the name of a person, who was 58 at the time of applying ,was sent to UGC for appointment blatantly ignoring two eligible candidates who were eligible and has sufficient experience in handling finance matters.
The person selected and recommended for appointment to HRD is now above 59 and is a Principal in Higher Education Department said Khan, adding that the fixed tenure of post of Finance Officer is three years whereas less than two and half year service is left at his credit which speaks of special interest taken by Prof Ashok Aima to accommodate his favourite at the cost of most eligible persons for the reasons best known to university administration.
He appealed the HRD Ministry to take serious note of gross irregularity and turn down the recommendation of Central University Jammu. Besides stern action be taken against the Vice Chancellor of university for flouting the guidelines of UGC. Among those who were present in the Press-conference included, Rahil Malik, Sunil Gupta, Rajan Gupta, Rohit, Saleem, and Anil Sharma.
