JKAACL organizes nukkad play

VIJAYPUR, Oct 24: In connection with 150th birth centenary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi , Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and languges Sub-office Kathua organized two nukkad play performances namely Adhikar and Assen Kadun Sudrena. Today two theatre groups performed their nukkad plays at Vir Bhumi Park Samb were sargam Social and Cultural club and Sarswati Sangeet Vidhalya Samba.
Artists of the group threw light on the deadly affects of the addiction of various kinds prevailing in the society especially among the youth of our society. The play further revealed that Drug interact with the brain and body to alter moods and emotions and also break the relationship among the friends and family and relatives, due to the changing brain chemistry and also the perception of the person who is drug addicted. The plays also raise the problem of water scarcity.
The shows were witnessed by large number of local peoples especially evening walkers. At the end Sanjeev Gupta, Culture officers, and Culture Academy, Sub office Kathua thanked the local peoples of the area and he specially thanked floriculture department Samba for providing space for performance. Sanjeev Gupta also said such type of Nukkad Natak will also be organized in other parts of Distt. Samba and Kathua.
