| Shamsher Bhandari raises issue of water supply | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Oct 24: In an emergent meeting convened at Kishtwar under the chairmanship of its Sr. Congress leader, Member Civil Society Shamsher Singh Bhandari, wherein different critical issues came up for discussion in the meeting including restoration of regular supply of drinking water within the municipal limits and outside the town Kishtwar, wherein, it was observed that the PHE department has miserably failed to streamline regular supply of this basic amenity to the public.
Bhandari has appealed the Governor of J&K state that the unemployed youths of Distt. Kishtwar who are eagerly waiting from last so many years for their adjustment in hydro power project in Distt. Kishtwar and have demanded that priority employment in these HE project may be given to the local unemployed youths of Distt. Kishtwar to overcome saturation of unemployment to the considerable extent. Bhandari further has demanded that the authorities of PWD(R&B) for expediting the widening of national highway from Malipath to char Chinar Kuleed Chowk Kishtwar and construction of parking Zones along the said National Highway to overcome the traffic jamming to the optimum level.
While speaking on the occasion , Bhandari laid stress over the construction of WSS Nehar Naigad kishtwar for its early completion so that the drinking water crises in and around kishtwar Town is meted out. |
