IECS Polytechnic organizes workshop, extension lecture

Jammu, Oct 24: IECS Polytechnic Purkhoo Camp, Domana organized, Workshop, Extension Lecture and Field Visits in which students from different departments took part actively. On the occasion, NIIT Pvt. Ltd. in Collaboration with department of Computer Engg., Electrical and Electronics and Communication organized two days workshop on "Basics of Programming Language Android Technology and Computer Networking" was conducted. Rahul Sharma, Director, NIIT, and Team of experts were resource persons. The workshop was also followed by an aptitude test for following students. The students were also provided with participation certificates certified by NIIT. An Extension Lecture on topic "Exploring Avenues in Civil Construction Machinery" by Er. Sudeep Bhat, Service Engineer, JCB Pvt. Ltd. was also conducted for the students of Mechanical Engg. Deptt. Another Extension Lecture on Topic Earth Quake resistant material was also conducted by Dr. Arvind Dewangan, Director YCET. An Industrial visit to BSNL telephone exchange was also conducted for the students of Electronics and Communication Engg. Deptt. in which Kishore Kapoor (SDO) and Siddarth Verma (TTA) interacted with the students and apprised them about MDF, DSLAM, Battery Bank, BTS. Another Industrial Visit to Mehar Cement Kangrail and Brick Kiln was also conducted for the students of Civil Engg. Deptt. Er. Ajay Jamwal, Dean Administration-cum-Training & Placement asserted that these workshop, extension lectures and field visits were very informative and exhaustive in nature which provides maximum technical exposure to polytechnic students and groom overall personality of students.
