Jammu half marathon first promo run infuses runners

Jammu, Oct 24: Narrating the tale of endurance, enthusiasm, courage and heroism, runners across various age groups participated in the Jammu Half marathon first Promo run held on 24th Oct morning, starting from the Jammu University main gate while passing through the roads of Panama Chowk, crossing the Rotary Club and finally culminating back at the University main gate.
Promoting healthy lifestyle and bringing the concept of ascribed marathon to the city, runners from Jammu Athlete Club (JAC) and Jammu Runners Group (JRG) along with others called upon health and fitness conscious citizens to take up running as a healthy habit and come forward and support the first ever Marathon of world class level in The City of Temples, an initiative by Jammu Athlete Club.
JAC aims to raise the bar of Marathon and other Athletic Events and bring Jammu & Kashmir at par with global sports events giving an opportunity for the locals to experience global sports excellence and inviting non-locals to come and witness the sports euphoria in Jammu while availing the chance to explore the beauty of Jammu and around places.
JAC's Half Marathon first edition is likely to have participants from different parts of the nation and have guidance and blessings from renowned names including Milkha Singh, who holds the highest regard and honours for his matchless and beyond compare achievements in athletics at the global level and never misses out on any opportunity in sports elevation and encouragement.
