`Naani Sunao Kahani' book released

Jammu, Oct 24: Dogri Sanstha,Jammu organized a function at Dogri Bhavan, Karan Nagar, Jammu to release a book of stories for children `Naani Sunao Kahani' written by Chanchal Narendra Bhasin. Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Prof. Lalit Magotra, President of Dogri Sanstha presided over the function , in which Prof. Veena Gupta and Chhatrapal were the Guests of honour.
The highlight of the event was the participation of veteran Dogri writer and Film personality, Ved Rahi, who gave a pleasant surprise to the audience by his visit on the occasion. He also spoke in the programme. Ved Rahi expressed his happiness at the fast pace at which the Dogri books are being published. He complimented Chanchal Bhasin for publishing book for children, which he felt, was the need of hour to popularize Dogri among the younger generation.
Prof. Lalit Magotra, in his presidential remarks congratulated the author, and said that her released book has further enriched the Dogri literature, especially children literature. He further emphasized that Dogri Sanstha on its part is doing all efforts to become the hub of literary and cultural activities. He informed the audience that the work on completion of multipurpose hall of Dogri Sanstha has been restarted and soon the writers/artists will have a place to organize programmes like conferences, musical concerts, plays etc. in the hall. He appealed to those present and thegeneral public to contribute to this endeavour of Dogri Sanstha, for creating this facility which is slated to become the symbol of Dogri literature and Dogra culture in J&K state.
Earlier, Prof. Veena Gupta, a senior Dogri scholar and Chhatrapal, a veteran Dogri writer, shared their views on the merits and other qualities of the released book. Chanchal Narendra Bhasin also read a short story from her book, which was immensely liked by the audience. The programme was conducted by the Literary Secretary of Sanstha, Susheel Begana and Dr Chanchal Bhasin, Secretary of Sanstha, thanked the audience and media at the conclusion of the programme.
