JK's first jewellery designer Neetu Bali's collection 'Art of Kashmir' glitters in London

JAMMU, Oct 27: Miles away from her homeland Neetu Bali, a fine jewellery designer and daughter of the soil paid rich tributes to the skilled artisans of Kashmir by showcasing her latest collection "Art of Kashmir " in a fashion show held recently in London.
The jewellery designs under the brand name Sunder Gems and Jewels were unveiled during the India Pakistan London Fashion Show which was dedicated to the highly skilled artisans of beautiful land of Kashmir. The artisans including the paper mache workers, embroiderers and the carpet weavers are the real heroes who have dedicated their lives for preserving these crafts.
Fine Jewellery Designer, Neetu Bali was invited in September 2018 to participate and showcase her jewellery collection in the India Pakistan London Fashion Show (IPL Fashion Show Season 2) in London, United Kingdom.
In this glittering event Neetu Bali's brand Sunder Gems And Jewels was given the honour of opening the show for India. Sunder Gems And Jewels shared the stage with leading designers like the famous jewellery brand Amarpali, Rosy Ahluwalia, Kumar G from India while Nomi Ansari, Ali Zeeshan from Pakistan and Myne London from London.
The paper mache inspired designs of fine jewellery by designer Neetu Bali were very highly appreciated by the gathering in the show. The segment of 12 models showcasing exquisite bespoke designer jewellery was the most popular segment of this fashion show.
Neetu Bali on receiving the invite to represent her state and country in an international fashion show conceived the idea of creating high end pieces of gold embellished with polki and diamonds along with artistic painting done on 22 kt gold with the idea of promoting the skilled craftsmen of Kashmir involved in paper mache, embroidery etc. This collection 'Art of Kashmir' depicted the different hues of Kashmir in jewellery pieces. All her pieces in this collection have a story to tell.... like one is a char chinar necklace while the other depicted the pink leaves of chinar during autumn while another depicted the paper mache which has been created by an artist who painted on 22 kt gold. This is a rare tribute of its kind to honour and promote deft craftsmanship of Kashmir.
Neetu combined her passion of designing plus social cause for upliftment of artisans by showcasing culture and promoting art and preservation of environment. By the dint of her hard work and commitment she was successful in sending a strong message to the people for preserving this great Art and culture of our land and help in bringing changes in the lives of these highly skilled artisans. More importantly she was able to showcase the true reflection of rich art and culture of J&K.
In future , Neetu has a dream of starting a large scale project and soon will soon be diversifying in exports that can assist her in increasing awareness for the causes close to her heart of Human Resource's empowerment, capacity building, increasing productivity and the preservation of the environment, art and culture.
Designer Neetu Bali is known for showcasing her bespoke fine jewellery collections with a strong social message in her efforts earlier also as she has designed nature inspired jewellery on theme chinar, for the preservation and protection of state emblem Chinar trees in the state.
Neetu Bali in her message to the society at large feels special responsibility towards her homeland while seeking help in ushering in an era of peace, prosperity, economic and social empowerment in the state.
Neetu feels this contribution of hers is to empower the craftsmenship of her homeland and in her personal capacity a way to reciprocate to the society which had impacted her thought process and made her touch the sky.
