10/27/2018 10:35:40 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 27: While as people of Jammu, irrespective of caste, creed, colour or religion, have celebrated 72nd Accession Day with pump and show, Congress leaders could not get guts to join people of Jammu in the celebrations.
Except Vikramaditya Singh, who had recently joined Congress had attended functions to celebrate Accession Day as his individual capacity, Congress leadership avoided any official function in this auspicious occasion to appease separatist parties of Kashmir Valley. Vikramaditya Singh has recently joined Congress.
None of the Congress leader of Jammu could dare to rather attend Accession Day functions organized by different social organizations.
Credible sources said that Kashmir centric leadership of the party has given clear directions to the Jammu based leaders against attending any Accession Day function because Valley based leaders wanted to keep separatists and anti-Indian forces in good humor for winning next assembly elections.
Sources further said that some Jammu based leaders had suggested the state leadership to actively participate in Accession Day function but they were snubbed by those touts of Kashmir based leaders. Majority of Jammu based leaders have virtually surrendered themselves before their bosses of Kashmir Valley to get some positions and tickets in the coming Assembly elections.
