FMHWs hold protest despite Karwa-Chouth fast

JAMMU, Oct 27: The Protest /Dharna of FMPHWs of Jammu Division entered 62nd day in the premises of DHS Jammu at Shashi Bala Park.
The FMHWs who were sat on the dharma without eating and drinking due to the Karwachouth fast. The protester FMPHW's of 2211 & 2210 Head are raised slogans in support of their genuine and long pending demands. Saturday's evening a meeting has been fixed with the Advisor to Governor and the FMHWs hoped that the demands will be consider positively.
The demands of the FMHs were Delinking the CSS Salary from the funding sources (Corpus-delinking) and release the pending salary, Clear the DPC of FMHWs as LHV etc. since pending last 5 years, Job functions of FMHWs must be fixed at par other working categories of Health Sector, Up gradation for the post of FMPHW on the analogy of Pharmacist, Lab. Tech. X-Ray Tech, Dental Tech. and Ophth. Tech, Creation of post of LHVs in New PHCs and others.
Other who address the Dharna included Suriya Akhter, Sapna Gupta , Madan Sharma, Shafkat Husssian Neelam Kumari Parmila Sharma, Varinder Kour, Kavita Bali, Rani Devi, Soma Devi, Mamta Sharma, Jaswinder Singh President J&K OT Tech. Employees Association, Vinod Kumar, Pawan Singh Jamwal President JK Basic Health Employees, and others.
