Locals demand Govt Polytechnic for Mendhar 10/27/2018 10:12:45 PM MS Nazki Early Times Report Poonch, Oct 27: Being large in area and the oldest sub division of the district people of Mendhar have demanded establishment of a Government polytechnic in the area which was the dire need of the hour said the source here today. Lambasting the successive state Governments in the past the locals said that Mendhar was the oldest sub division of Poonch district comprising three tehsil including Mendhar, Mankote and Balakote. Mendhar sub division is largest among other sub division of poonch which needs immediately establishment of a Government polytechnic in the area because the youth of these there tehsil have to move either Jammu or other parts of the state to attain vocational training in the absence of a polytechnic. A group of Elderly people of the area while talking to the Early Times lambasted the authorities who turned a deaf ear towards their demand earlier have reposed their faith in the Governor of the state SP Malik who according to them will definitely listen to their long pending demand . They said the subdivision Mendhar as whole falls near the Line of Control and the people have live uncertain life due to border skirmishes. As they were not in a position to allow their wards to move out of the district for persuing technical education they urged the Governor to establish a Govt Polytechni in subdivision Mendhar and fulfil the demand of the people of the area, they added.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
