Inter Polytechnic Sports Competition SPORTECH-2018 to commence on Monday

JAMMU, Oct 27: Sports Department of Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu under the guidance of Principal Er. Arun Bangotra is organising first Inter Polytechnic Sports Competition SPORTECH 2018 in the College campus wef 29th Oct to 2nd Nov 2018.
Apart from the teams from different Polytechnic colleges of Jammu district , the teams from other districts Rajouri, Kishtwar, Ramban, Doda, Kathua, Reasi, Udhampur, Samba and Poonch of whole Jammu Division are invited for the participation in the event and have sent their entries with great zeal for the tournament.
SPORTECH-2018 is first of its kind in Technical Education Department which will give a boost to budding players of Polytechnic colleges besides an opportunity to build inter cultural relationship between all participants. Director Technical Education Mrs Anoo Malhotra had applauded this initiative of Principal Er. Arun Bangotra.
Ajeet Kumar Sahu I.A.S Secretary School and Technical Education J&K Government will be Chief Guest on the inauguration ceremony of 1st Inter Polytechnic SPORTECH 2018 at Government Polytechnic Jammu on 29th October 2018.
The main vision of the event is to promote communal harmony among the masses, to engage youths and students in sports and help them not to derail from the mainstream, besides providing a professional platform to them to showcase their hidden skills like khelo India. The tournament will be organized under the Chairmanship of Er. Inderjeet Singh W/s Suptd and the organizing committee members includes Er. K.S.Bhatia H.O.D Mechanical, Gurminderpreet Kour PEM and Toshi Devi PET. The staff from Youth Services and Sports are also invited for smooth conduct of various events.
The tournament will be played on knock out basis in various events and in cricket cosco ball will be used. Colour T-shirts with college logo will be provided to the participating teams of Government Polytechnic Jammu. The organisers have advised the teams desirous to take part in the event to register them positively with the Sports Secretary of Government Polytechnic Jammu.
