DPS Teachers bag National Award

Udhampur, Dec 3: Delhi Public School Udhampur added yet another feather in its crown, 4 teachers of the school bagged National Teachers Award 2018-19 at a function recently held at New Delhi.
The school organised a special press conference to facilitate and honour these teachers at small function organised in the school today. The function was chaired by honourable Pro Vice Chairman of DPS, Udhampur Dr. JC Gupta. Vivek Gupta MD and Sucheta Gupta Director Academics presided over the function.
The 4 teachers namely . Shivani Koul was awarded with Shiksha Rattan Award 2018 for her meritorious service in the field of education for more than 25 years. Bhanvi Sharma was conferred with Shiksha Samman Purskar for her dedicated services in the field of education, Sangeeta Nargotra was awarded with Shikshan Samman Purskar 2018 for her outstanding contribution in the field of Education and Lakhvinder Kour was awarded with Shiksha Samman Purskar 2018 for shaping the young creative minds.
The award was presented by Dr. Debi Mohanty Director CED; M.M. Pant globally renounced educationalist, Dr Chinu Agrawal, Director, Feeling Minds Dr. Dev Arora President Sports Academy Association of India and Dr Priyadarshi Nayak, Director Doon Group of Schools. The awards were presented at the glittering ceremony at National Science Centre, New Delhi. The Award included a Gold Medal, A trophy and a Certificate. The award was presented by Centre for Educational Development Delhi chapter.
It is worthwhile mentioning here that out of 1298 teachers from across India who were shortlisted for this year and after observations and feedback, the grand jury picked up only 122 teachers profiles to be awarded nationally and 4 teachers from DPS Udhampur got selected for the same. This is a matter of utter proud for all of us here. This award signifies that our teachers are no less than any other teacher at the national level.
Dr. JC Gupta, Pro Vice Chairman of DPS, Udhampur congratulated the award winning teachers and said that dedication and hard work is always rewarded and this is their sheer dedication towards the school in particular and education in general that they have earned national level awards. He expressed his happiness and promised every possible help for teachers and students to make Delhi Public School, the best place to study.
