Jammu, Jan 24: Indian Red Cross Society District Branch Jammu celebrated National Girls Child Day under 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao
Week' by organising Painting Competition and self defence techniques on the theme "Empowering Girls For Better Tomorrow' at G G H S S Rehari and G G H S S Mubarak Mandir, Jammu. The students showed tremendous enthusiasm in this competition and exhibited their talent.
Students were also imparted a self defence training by Deepa Sharma and Deepika Chauhan - J&K Karate trainers. Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal- Executive Secretary Distt. Red Cross Society Jammu spoke on Girls Empowerment and also advocated on different aspects of Red Cross Society. Our special invitees O P Gupta and R Vijay Mangotra also\ spoke on Girls Empowerment and appealed to students to come forward and join hands with the Society.
Medals were presented to first three winners of the competition. Jamwal thanked Rajni- Principal GGHSS Rehari and Mohtarma Razia- Principal GGHSS Mubarak Mandi Jammu and their staff for their full co- operation .
The others who were present in the programme included Shashank Rawal- Tr. , Preet Dutta, Sakshi and Gurmeet Kour from Childline Jammu. |
