Non teaching employees shows anger over conversion of posts
1/24/2019 10:59:46 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 24: In an emergency meeting of School Education Non-Teaching Employees Forum Jammu was held at Jammu under the leadership of Smt Ansuyia Gupta (Sr.Vice President) and Jagdish Thakur (Vice President) of the forum. Prominent among others who were present on the occasion were Sh. Farooq Ahmed, Surinder Singh, Balwan Singh, Ashok Dutt, Ganesh Sharma, Subash Jamwal, Prem Lata , Rajesh Kour, Meenakshi Sharma , Pooja Kumari, Darshan Kumari, Tarsem Raj, Jagdish Sharma and representatives of all districts of Jammu Division.
While speaking on the occasion all members showed great resentment against the Government Order No: 20-Edu of 2019 dated 22.01.2019 where under 4522 posts of Non-Teaching Cadre were converted/upgraded for conversion of SSA born Teachers under State Cadre. All the members of forum in one voice cleared that they are not against the conversion of SSA born Teachers under State budget but at the same time they can't tolerate to utilize Non-Teaching Cadre posts for the purpose. It was also discussed in the meeting that instead resolving long pending demands of Non-Teaching Cadre of School Education Department i.e. creation of Non-Teaching Cadre posts in various hanging zones, Newly created CEO offices and Joint Director Offices, the authorities are on mission to eradicate non teaching cadre from the biggest ever department of the state, which is not acceptable. There are 50% offices in Jammu Division viz 44 hanging zones, newly created CEO & Joint Director Offices where non teaching cadre posts had not been created till date despite repeated requests. We approached time and again for creation of more posts in all these offices as well as other offices as the work burden had already been increased many fold due to implementation of various Central/ State Sponsored Scheme in Education Department but our proposals are lying in dustbin in our Administrative Department and we had been given step motherly treatment by the Department. The spokers categorically condemned the nefarious approach of higher authorities towards the services of Non-Teaching Cadre where genuine rights of this cadre are being snatched either one or the other pretext.
The whole cadre which is meagre in strength is feeling suffocation due to illness affected policies of the department. The representatives in one voice requested Advisor to Hon'ble Governor to review the Government Order No.20-Edu of 2019 dated 22.01.2019 and exempt 4522 Non-Teaching Cadre posts from the order to save this cadre.
