Kathua, Mar 13: In order to strengthen Youth Club Movement and enhance capacity of young people to take social leadership to actively participate in Youth Welfare & Social Development Activities by forming Social Action Plan of village, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua has organized 3 days "Training On Youth Leadership And Community Development Camp" at Rainbow High School, Kathua w.e.f. 11th to 13th of March 2019, on the theme " Vision And Mission Of Youth" in which over 55 participants, both male & female, hailing from Youth Clubs/Mahila Mandals have participated. In this three days camp the focus were laid on personality development, self awareness-development, social leadership, formation of Youth Organizations, participation in community development through Youth action groups at village level. Youth were also educated about various flagship programmes of the Govt. and get benefitted by these schemes and active participation to make programmes successful at the grass root level. During the camp, youth participated in group discussion of social issues, social evils, national development, sports, and cultural activities, yog etc. Resource persons from JKEDI, Employment and counseling centre, KVIB, Higher Education, Banks, Animal Husbandry, NGO, Rural Development etc. delivered lectures on schemes run by these departments. Appreciation certificates and To and fro TA disbursed to the participants on closing of the camp and participants shared their camp experiences. |
