Parihar brothers' killing: NIA arrests Ex militant turned BJP worker

Jammu, Mar 13: National Investigating Agency NIA probing infamous double murder of BJP State Secretary Anil Parihar and his brother Ajeet Parihar today conducted raids at several places in Kishtwar and peripheral areas and arrested one former Militant of Harkat ul Jehadi Islami identified as Irshad Ahmed Kant son of Abdul Rasheed Kant resident of Huller Kishtwar.
As per the details available with "Early Times", NIA sleuths conducted the search at the residence of former militant who join BJP in 2014 and recovered around one dozen live cartridges of AK 47 riffle.
The NIA also conducted raids in Tund and Hidyal area and detain few persons from various areas of Kishtwar.
The sources said that NIA is also linking the murder of Parihar brothers with weapon snatching incident that took place in heart of Kishtwar town few days ago in which the unidentified militants decamped with the service weapon of Personal Security Officer (PSO) of DC Kishtwar identified by police sources as Daleep Kumar.
Sources said that NIA and Kishtwar police were of the firm belief that the group of unidentified militants involved in weapon snatching incident had links with the militant group involved in killing of Parihar brothers which was right from the beginning termed as "Political killings executed through militants".
Meanwhile Police have also detained local police personal identified as Jaffer Hussain son of Mohammad Ashraf Resident of Hunjala Kishtwar as his vehicle is said to be used by the unidentified gunmen involve in weapon snatching incident.
Reacting to the arrest of former militant turned BJP worker, former District President Congress Kishtwar who only couple of months ago joined BJP and was appointed BJP District President Kishtwar refuted the media claims and denied that the arrested person had any affiliation with BJP. However his photographs in a joining function at Sarkoot village of Kishtwar had gone viral refuting his claims on the contrary.
