Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 13: Hanging transmission lines are putting the people of Kuntwara, Kishtwar to risk.
Reports said the people of Kuntwara have accused the PDD of failure to install poles to carry the transmission lines.
The local Sarpanch Arif Hussain said that the electric wires are seen hanging on trees and rotten poles. "The low hanging wires at some places endanger human lives," he said.
He said that at times due to excessive pilferage can generate enough heat to ignite wooden logs that carry the wires.
He on behalf of the villagers has urged the department to install new poles so that the people feel safe.
Taking strong note of the failure of PDD to restore electricity to the village even after a month. He sought immediate restoration of electric supply.
