Early Times Report

JAMMU, Mar 28: To highlight the alleged pathetic condition of various government hospitals in Jammu, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held a protest demonstration-cum-visit to different health institutions of the city here today. Led by senior AAP leader and District Incharge Jammu, Rajesh Bali, the party activists visited different hospitals in Jammu city and interacted with the patients and their attendants. The team of AAP found that the general condition of the hospitals is not in good shape viz a viz in terms of cleanliness in toilets, disposal of the refuge of the hospital, functionality of emergency machines like ventilators and tests which was brought to the notice of the respective hospital administrations. It was also observed that the patients have to resort to undergo the tests like Digital X-rays and other high potent tests from outside the hospitals. The public in general especially the women and children were seen to be left at the mercy of the junior doctors. The senior doctors were hardly visible to attend the cases that reach the hospital and are available on call. All the hospitals refer maximum of their cases, irrespective of the gravity of the treatment it deserves, to the Jammu Medical College and Hospital which increases the flow of patients there due to which it gets overburdened. Speaking on the occasion, Bali described the hospitals as the life saving banks of any nation. The hospital was understood by the leader as the harbinger between the progress and the health of any nation.
