GMS Pyakul found closed on working day, locals demand action

DODA, Mar 28: Government Middle School (GMS) Pyakul in Panchayat Tatani, Zone Drabshalla in district Doda was found closed on Thursday without any reason.
According to locals and students of Panchayat Tatani, the Governmentt Middle School found closed on working day. When students today morning reached the said school, they found it closed and all the teachers were found absent from duties without any prior notice. After getting the information, locals of the area also visited the school for clarification and found the school to be closed.
While speaking to Early Times, local panch of Tatani Ward No 8, Abdul Latif informed about the matter after visiting the school. He said the school was found closed without giving any notice to students and locals adding that this was not a new phenomenon as the school was found closed many times earlier also. He said that the people also lodged complaints to the concerned authorities in this regard but no action was taken. He further said that the locals of the area want to know the cause of closing the school and demanded stern action against the concerned teachers who were absent from duties.
When contacted, the CEO said that he will personally look into the matter and initiate stern action if any rules and regulations were flouted.
