JKSAC extends full support in favour of Jugal Kishore Sharma
4/8/2019 9:26:40 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 8: Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) a organization of DPs of 1947 from POK decided to support and vote in favour of Jugal Kishore Sharma and Dr. Jatinder Singh candidates of BJP contesting from Jammu-Poonch and Udhampur-Doda constituencies in the upcoming Parliamentary elections on 11th and 18th of April 2019, respectively.
The decision has been taken by the representatives of JKSAC from all the districts after seeking opinion and forming consensus among DPs of 1947 from POK residing across the Jammu region.
While addressing the media, S. Gurdev Singh, President (JKSAC) along with Netar Parkash and representatives from all the districts of Jammu region made an appeal to DPs of all categories particularly 1947 from POK to whole heartedly to vote and support with full might inn favour of both the candidates of BJP contesting from the said constituencies. He said that DPs of 1947 from POK are in relentless struggle from the past more than Six decades to achieve their reasonable and respectable rehabilitation keeping in view their loss of life and properties they have suffered during the 1947 turmoil. The DPs remained neglected because of the negative mindset of the dispensations of valley centric political parties in connivance with the Congress.
The DPs suffered injustice mostly at the hands of Congress, who was always voted to power by DPs in the hope that rehabilitation issues of DP's would be resolved, but their support was never reciprocated by Congress rather they were politically exploited and cheated for a longer time. They were not given any kind of compensation/relief and whatever little-bit was given on one hand was taken back the Govt. on the other hand. Their wards were never given any kind of reservation in employment or technical institutions. They have not been given any kind of economic support resulting in, that today, the future of their coming generation is under great threat.
He expressed his satisfaction to say that it has happened for the first time that the Govt. in center led by Narendra Modi, Prime Minister has acknowledged the legitimacy of DP's issues and came to their rescue by announcing a relief package of Rs 2000 crore which is being disbursed among DPs. Though the package has been announced without any logic and road-map yet it has given a lot of solace to all the DPs and kindled a ray of hope in their eyes that after forming the govt. again in centre by, Narendra Modi, as assured will take up the issue of DPs on priority to it's logical conclusion and would reciprocate the faith the DPs are going to repose in BJP by casting their votes in favour of the said candidates.
Gurdev Singh urged upon DPs of all the categories to strengthen the hands of Narendra Modi in the national interests by casting their votes in favour both the BJP candidates contesting from Jammu region. He also cautioned and urged upon the people in general and DPs in particular to rise above their political and religious affiliations and not to be misled by self-motivated propaganda of any individual contesting election and party sitting in the lap of anti-national forces playing in the hands of Pakistan and also keeping in mind the present atmosphere prevailing in the state.
