Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 8: In a major setback to controversial Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana who is considered close to MoS in PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Chief Judicial Magistrate Kishtwar Sudhir Khajuria today directed SSP Kishtwar to probe the allegations against him and submit the report within a week and fixed the next date of hearing of the case on 16-4-2019.
As per the details available with ET, Babu Lal Bhandari Son of Som Nath Bhandari Resident of Lopara Dachhan in Kishtwar District through his Counsel Advocate Safder Ali Shoket filed a written complaint before the CJM Kishtwar seeking directions upon the officer in-charge Police Station Kishtwar for registration of FIR U/S 307, 342, 504, 506 RPC and investigation under law against Angrez Singh Rana for manhandling his client Babu Lal Bhandari who happens to be an elected Sarpanch.
Advocate Safder Ali Shokat submitted that "He (DC) threatened his client (Sarpanch)to kill and directed his PSOs to kill him by shooting at him through their official weapons-who complying the order loaded their guns and pointed towards his client". He added that on the directions of DC Kishtwar, his PSOs dragged him in adjacent room where he bolted the room and thrashed his client.
He said that DC Kishtwar and his PSOs continuously trained their official weapons at him and asked his client to apologize to DC Kishtwar which he refused. He suddenly noticed that people had gathered outside and left the room in hurry.
He said that after listening his hue and cry, more people gathered at the spot and his client managed to get out from the clutches of the DC Kishtwar who had almost virtually killed him.
After going through the arguments made by the Counsel of the Sarpanch, today on 8-4-19, the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate in its order directed SSP Kishtwar to enquire the matter against the accused and submit a detailed report on or before next date of hearing I.e 16-04-2019.
