Bhagawaan Gopinathji Ashram celebrates Zang Trai

Jammu, Apr 8: Zang Trai, a festival of Kashmiri Pandit community was observed on Monday, at the Bhagawaan Gopinathji Ashram, Udaiwala, Bohri Jammu. Pyare Malla was the chief guest of the occasion.
The programme commenced with lighting of the Jyoti. Scores of ladies participated in the function that paid obeisance at the lotus feet of the master. A great enthusiasm was seen among the ladies who were seen thronging the ashram during the whole day.
On the occasion, the organizer spoke at length on the significance and importance of 'Zangtrai' festival. The trust exhorted the gathering to follow the teachings of the Bhagawaan in letter and spirit.
Artists of repute Ravi Bhan, Shanti Lal Sidh and R.K. Saproo, Arti Razdan, Nirja Raina, Himanshu Pandita, Anjali Pandita, Shubra Pandita presented melodious devotional songs on this occasion. They held the gathering captive and each artist was greeted with thunderous applause at the end of their performance. The organizer of the Trust conducted the proceedings of the programme.
On this occasion, Dr. Phoola Kanth, (Gynaecologist), Dr. R. K. Chrungoo, (Surgeon), Dr. Vinod Razdan, (Physician), Dr. M. K. Saproo, (Physician), Dr. C. N. Tikoo (Pathologist), Dr. Roshan Saraf, (Physician), Dr. P. K. Raina ( Physician), Dr. Anirudh Koul, (ENT), Dr. Abhineet Suri, (Surgeon), Dr. Bhawani Raina, (Eye Specialist), Dr. Renu Hashia (Eye Specialist) were presented with a shawl in recognition of the selfless services they provide in the OPD functional at Jammu Ashram under the title Bhagawaan Gopinathji Trust Medical Mission.
T.K. Taing, internal auditor of various Ashrams of the Trust, was also decorated with a shawl for his services rendered to the Trust. A cheque for Rupees 1.0 Lakh was also handed over to the Secretary, Vitasta Health Care Trust, Lower Roop Nagar, Muthi Jammu on this occasion.
